Award winning Ph.d. thesis – “Automated detection of pronunciation errors in non-native English speech employing deep learning.”

On October 29, at the Institute of Computer Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, as part of the plenary meeting of the Polish Association of Artificial Intelligence, Prof. Dr. Grzegorz Nalepa, President of PSSI, presented an award to Dr. Daniel Korzekwa (supervisor Prof. Dr. Bozena Kostek) for the best doctoral dissertation in artificial intelligence. After the award presentation, there was a presentation by the award winner entitled “Automated detection of pronunciation errors in non-native English speech employing deep learning.” The plenary lecture entitled “Intelligent processing of sound and image” at this meeting was given by Prof. Bozena Kostek.
