The award was presented at the 160th AES Convention in Copenhagen on May 28, 2026.
The Board of Governors Award is presented to AES members who have rendered exceptional service to the Society. Prof. Bożena Kostek was honored with this distinction for co-chairing the 158th AES Convention, held in Warsaw, Poland, in May 2025. The award was granted by action of the AES Board of Governors and is signed by Brecht de Man, AES President, and Valerie Tyler, AES Secretary.
